Ranthambore fort is situated near Sawai Madhopur town of Rajasthan and it is approximately 190 kilometers from Jaipur. Ranthambore fort is one of the hill fort of Rajasthan which was built to protect the kingdom from invaders and it was built around mid 11th century. It was a favourite hunting spot for the then Maharajas of Jaipur. This Fort was mainly built for protection of the Empire of the king because it was built as a shield.
